Keep Your OEEA Watch Winder in Perfect Working Condition
OEEA watch winders support two power supply methods. You can choose flexibly according to your usage scenario:
| Series | Input Voltage | Output Voltage/Current | Adapter Connector |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Series | 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz | DC 3V/1A | DC 5521 Round Tip |
| Smart Series | 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz | DC 5V/1A | USB-C / Micro-USB |
| High-End Custom Series | 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz | DC 3V/2A | DC 5525 Round Tip |
OEEA watch winders feature ultra-low power consumption design with excellent battery life:
Continuous mode: Approximately 30-45 days
Intermittent mode (2h on/1h off): Approximately 3-4 months
Smart sensor mode: Approximately 4-6 months (depends on usage frequency)
Continuous mode: Approximately 20-30 days
Intermittent mode: Approximately 2-3 months
Smart sensor mode: Approximately 3-4 months
| Operation Mode | Daily Runtime | Relative Power Use | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Continuous Mode | 24 hours | 100% | Display, demonstration |
| Intermittent (2h/1h) | 16 hours | About 67% | Daily use, recommended |
| Intermittent (1h/2h) | 8 hours | About 33% | Energy priority, watch fully wound |
| Smart Sensor Mode | On demand | About 20-40% | Most efficient, recommended |
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Not working when plugged in | Outlet dead / Adapter damaged / Loose connection | Test outlet, replace adapter, check connection |
| Not working on battery | Dead battery / Incorrect installation / Corroded contacts | Replace batteries, check polarity, clean contacts |
| Intermittent operation | Low battery / Poor contact | Replace batteries, clean battery compartment springs |
| Adapter gets very hot | Overload / Adapter failure | Stop using, check for motor jam, replace adapter |
| Battery leakage | Expired batteries / Mixed batteries / Left in too long | Remove immediately, clean compartment, install new batteries |
| More noise on battery | Low battery voltage causing unstable motor operation | Replace with fresh alkaline batteries |
Not recommended. Rechargeable batteries (NiMH/NiCd) have a nominal voltage of 1.2V, lower than alkaline's 1.5V. Using rechargeable batteries may cause slower rotation, unstable operation, or even failure to start. High-quality alkaline batteries are recommended.
Yes. OEEA watch winders have a power management circuit. When both AC power and batteries are connected, the unit automatically prioritizes AC power while using batteries as backup. If AC power fails, it seamlessly switches to battery power.
Battery leakage is considered improper use (such as leaving batteries in for too long or using low-quality batteries) and is not covered under warranty. We recommend using brand-name alkaline batteries and regularly checking battery condition. Always remove batteries when not in use for extended periods.
Yes, but you must ensure: ① Output voltage matches specifications (check label on unit); ② Output current is >= original specification; ③ Connector matches. We strongly recommend purchasing an OEEA original adapter to ensure safety and performance.
Very little. With AC power, consumption is only 2-3W - running continuously for a month uses less than 2 kWh. With batteries, a pair of C alkaline batteries can last 3-6 months. OEEA watch winders are among the most energy-efficient in their class.
