From one man's technical mastery to a team's professional collaboration
2001 · Guangzhou
Founded OEEA, Committed to Independent R&D
In 2001, founder Mr. Long Zidong established OEEA in Guangzhou. He dedicated himself early to research in chip design and micro-motor control. With profound understanding of precision mechanics and electronic engineering, from chip architecture to geared motor drive algorithms, he continuously refined every technical aspect of intelligent winding systems. That year, the first OEEA-branded automatic watch winder was born, marking OEEA's solid first step toward independent R&D of core watch winder technology.
"From chips to motors, technical excellence is OEEA's starting point."
1996
Joint Venture Factory · Woodworking Beginnings
In 1996, Mr. Cai established a joint venture factory in Shantou, Guangdong with Hong Kong ERS, specializing in wooden watch boxes and jewelry boxes. Equipped with German-imported 5-axis CNC machining centers and an experienced woodworking technician team, he achieved handmade quality with industrial efficiency, exporting products worldwide. This woodworking heritage enabled OEEA watch winders to achieve industry-leading standards in both appearance and structure.
1997-2000
Capacity Growth · Global Expansion
Mr. Cai introduced automated woodworking equipment, increasing capacity by 50%; provided OEM services for Japanese and Hong Kong watch brands, exceeding 100,000 units in first-year exports. Achieved ISO9001 certification in 1999, signed first German client in 2000, earning European market recognition for precision quality.
Mr. Cai's partnership gave OEEA world-class woodworking DNA from day one.
2001
First OEEA-Branded Watch Winder Born
Mr. Xu is a senior embedded systems engineer in China, specializing in MCU development and power management chip applications. Together with Mr. Long, he led custom development of OEEA's core control chips. From chip architecture design to mass production, Mr. Xu provided OEEA products with a stable and reliable "brain," enabling the successful launch of the first OEEA watch winder.
2002-2003
Core Technology Breakthrough · Brand Launch
With Mr. Xu's chip solutions, OEEA developed the second-generation ultra-quiet geared motor (operational noise <20dB). Registered oeea.com domain and officially adopted OEEA as the corporate brand, beginning global trademark registration.
In-House Chip · Core Control
2003
Ultra-Quiet Geared Motor · In-House Production
Mr. Chen is an expert in precision micro motors with over fifteen years of R&D and production experience. He developed custom ultra-quiet geared motor solutions exclusively for OEEA, establishing a dedicated micro motor production line in Shantou for in-house production of core components, ensuring full control over quality and delivery. Operational noise below 18 decibels became OEEA's core technological advantage.
2004-2005
Overseas Markets & Custom System Maturity
Established first overseas representative office in the US, entering North American retail channels; built a comprehensive OEM/ODM custom service system, providing custom services to over 30 international watch brands that year.
